The Grace of communication

“Communication is not about perfection, or the avoidance of imperfection. Achieving good communication is comparable to growing in grace in our relationship with Christ. We show up as our authentic selves, and sometimes our communication is great, other times, not so good. We introspect, dialog, apologize, repent when our actions fail to meet God’s standard of love, and reconcile with great intentions of perfecting all the characteristics associated with communication. We engage in this process over-and-over again until we learn to communicate well. But even when we have achieved good communication, we recognize we will never achieve perfection. So, we are always humbled by our love ones willingness to accept us over-and- over again with our imperfections, and our need to be forgiven.”

I recently introspected communication and its extensive role in all relationships. The more I thought about the power of communication, the more I reminisced about the work and commitment that goes into being a good communicator. I reflected upon characteristics often revealed through communication, such as pain, hurt, and disappointment. Also, attributes such as joy, compassion, and understanding. I thought about how different methods of communication can impact the development and promotion of purpose. Most importantly, verbal and nonverbal communication demonstrates what a man’s soul continuously desires, intimacy with Christ, restoration, and healing. I challenge you to use your voice to connect with the Eternal Life-Giver.

Psalm 51:12 (AMPC)

12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Revelation 3:20 (AMP)

20 Behold, I stand at the door [of the church] and continually knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him (restore him), and he with Me.
